Making DIY bedroom shelf was my boyfriend’s idea, to make one he used a small flat-pack wooden box from Ikea. The shelf doesn’t take much place but is big enough to hold some books, flower, glass of wine and a phone – simple but brilliant!
Making DIY bedroom shelf
To make a bedroom shelf make sure you have a wooden box, driller, screwdrivers of proper length. We used the Ikea box named KNAGGLIG, it’s 23 x 31 x 15 cm and costs 25pln (about 5,8e).
To start with your shelf unpack the Ikea package. It consists of 5 elements – four sides and the bottom (screws included). Follow the instruction attached to put the box together.
To make the holes in the box, we used a wood drill, then switched to hammer drill to pass through the wall. The wall in our bedroom is covered with brick so Wojtek aimed the holes so he could drill in the space between the bricks rather than the brick itself. The box is hanged on four screws.
