Finished your mayonaisse, dried tomateos, jalapeno peppers? Don’t get rid of empty jars – make yourself DIY candle holders! It’s easy, nice and will brighten cold autumn evenings upcoming!

Making DIY candle holders from jars

To make your DIY candle holders prepare clean, dry jars. They can be any size as long as they match standard tealight. For a decoration I used a rope and cotton lace – both bought in Tiger store.

Step number one: cover the bottom of your jar with all purpose glue.

Second, wrap the bottom with a rope.

Now repeat it with cotton lace…

… and with the rope again. Your composition can be totally different of course, however I think the one I made is super cool ;)

At the top of the jar I made a knot, first puting a drop of glue on the rope so it didn’t untie itself. I left it to dry for 15 minutes and made smaller candle holder meanwhile.

At the very end a tied a bow on both jars and decorated it with super small shells I got from my Greek holidays. Simple, effective with a hint of memories … :) How do you like it?
